For Christmas i wish to be happy for the war in Iraq to stop.

For the killings to stop, for no rain to fall and bullying to stop.

For snow to fall and presents to all for Christmas

I wish for everyone to be happy

For people in  Third World countries to get food and presents and poor people to have food.

When you wish that you want a fish

Think of others, your brothers and grandmothers

Think of the poor who live outside the door

When your having your feed it’s the least you can do.

You like what you see

I wish for snow this year

And for my family to spread lots of cheer

Christmas comes once a year and when it does everyone spreads cheer.

Nobody can wait until the New Year.

Robins are flying in the air and there is Holly everywhere.

So have a good Christmas everyone and i hope you have lots of fun.

Mayglass school will be closed on Monday 23rd October 2006 due to in-service, and Monday 30th October until November 3rd for mid-term break.

Mayglass School Halloween Party will be held at the school from 6pm-7.30 pm on Sunday October 29th 2006. All are welcome to attend. Enjoy a night of fancy dress, games, stories, refreshments and more…

We would love to hear from anyone local who would like to contribute post occasional items of local interest on our blog. We would be happy to show you exactly how to do this and once you have a computer and internet access its really very simple. Contact us at info@mayglass.com or mention it to any of our teachers.

Many thanks to Bernie Mc Donnell and the Parents Council for organising the option of taking out annual insurance policies for each child. The costs are €5 per child to cover school activities only or €8 which covers school and leisure activities.

We are very grateful to all our patrons and sponsors who have assisted our school to raise much needed finances over the past 12 months. We will be adding a complete list of our patrons shortly and we would actively encourage parents and locals to wherever possible use these facilities and services.
